Formation of a Lump on Eyelid

The formation of a lump on eyelid can be because of a variety of reasons that affect the eyelid. Basically, the eyelid has some oil glands that are present at the junction of eyelid and eyelashes. These oil glands sometimes get affected by bacteria, and tend to get blocked. Due to this blockage by bacteria, an eye stye forms. Basically, an eye stye is associated with a regular acne pimple that forms on the skin, with the only difference arising in the location of the bump.
